Alexander Graf v. Bernstorff joined InteRES as its Director Airline Solutions on June 1, 2016.
Before joining InteRES, Alexander spent ten years at Lufthansa German Airlines, where he last worked in Corporate Strategy & Business Development, where, among other strategic projects, he helped aligning the distribution organization of LH with their board of directors.
Prior to his strategist role and since 2005, he worked in Distribution Strategy, where he first managed commercial GDS relationships for Lufthansa and the LH Group and negotiated various contracts with its largest GDS and IT supplier. Since early 2012, Alexander was LH’s representative in IATA’s NDC project, where he was a member of the Passenger Distribution Group, a member of the NDC advisory forum, and Chairman of the NDC distribution industry working group (DDX, PDMGWG). During that time, he developed and implemented LH’s RM-based distribution strategy. Alexander spoke on various national and international trade events on the future of airline distribution and NDC.
Before joining Lufthansa, Alexander spent more than five years at Amadeus Germany where he worked as a product manager, first for the range of regional leisure products such as Amadeus Tour Market (TOMA), and later on for the API V.2.
Subsequent to an apprenticeship as a travel agent and a master’s degree in business administration at Frankfurt University, Alexander spent five years in business travel management at Thomas Cook Travel (which later became TUI), where he mainly dealt with the development and implementation
of technology based business travel processes, but also with the commercial relationship between the travel agency organization and its corporate customers and providers, especially airlines.
Alexander was born in Munich and grew up in Frankfurt. He is married and lives in Wiesbaden.
